Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a branch or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which involves places very thin stainless steel needles in specific points in the body called acupoints. Each point is related to a specific meridian. Meridians are energy lines in the body which when become out of balance effect the overall health of a person. The specific placement of the needles aims to help restore natural health and harmony in the body. Acupuncture works on a physical, mental and emotional level, treating the whole person not just the symptoms. Acupuncture has been practised in China for thousands of years and successfully treats many conditions and illnesses.

Shonishin (show-kneeshin)translates as “small children needle” and is a unique, specialised form of
acupuncture developed in Japan.

Some conditions treated are:

  • Allergies

  • Night terrors
  • Colic
  • Colds
  • Indigestion
